Emmanouela Stathopoulou

Emma Arnold is a digital artist and amateur photographer living in Red Deer. She loves to create abstract art and nature photography. She is self-taught and her art is partly inspired by her late father who was also an abstract artist, and her imagination.
Restricted by physical challenges, she has found digital art to be her favourite creative medium, even though she does occasionally work with pastels, charcoal and acrylics.
Abstract art allows her to let the images form spontaneously at first and then she works on them by exploration trying to leave her conscious mind out of the equation and allow the subconscious to lead the game.
Her photographs are a representation of her love for nature and are taken mainly on Vancouver island - where she lived for six years before making Red Deer her home in 2022- and her travels through the Rockies.
