Glynis Wilson Boultbee

Glynis has built her life and work around creativity, the arts, and community. For years, she wrote poetry in response to the work of visual artists. Her poetry was also adapted into a play that she wrote and directed in 2010. And she wrote a series of workplace fairy tales for adults that she uses regularly when she facilitates groups.

In 2007-2012, Glynis undertook training in the Expressive Arts in Edmonton. In 2019, she graduated with a Diploma in Visual Art from Red Deer College. As she embarked on the next phase of her life, Glynis established hinges studio. She is enchanted to be exploring how to bring her interests in story-telling, poetry-writing and visual art-making together in one delightful multi-disciplinary soup.

For almost 15 years, Glynis worked in the community, taking the arts out to those who may not normally have access. She teaches periodically for post-secondary institutions, and facilitates group processes for a wide variety of clients in Alberta and well beyond. Glynis has a Master of Arts in English from University of Toronto. She taught at Red Deer College for seventeen years.
