Emerging Artist Awards
We recently discovered an out-of-date copy of the guideline document for this award, indicating the due date was March 1st. For 2025, the correct final submission date is April 1, 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience at this has caused. The updated document is now attached below.
The Red Deer Arts Council has established this emerging artist award to support and encourage promising artists early in their careers, while also raising the profile of the arts by stimulating, developing and promoting the arts in Red Deer. The award consists of $1,000 and a certificate.
Application forms and deadlines are posted here each year, usually in January.
The application guidelines and the application form have been separated into three separate documents for 2025. Only the application form needs to be submitted along with other noted materials required for consideration.
*Application Form Updated March 13, 2025. Both former and new versions of the form will be accepted. The final page of the application has been added to provide guidance on how to list your works, whether Visual, Literary, Performing, or Cinematic in nature.
