Emerging Artist Awards

The Red Deer Arts Council has established this emerging artist award to support and encourage promising artists early in their careers, while also raising the profile of the arts by stimulating, developing and promoting the arts in Red Deer. The award consists of $1,000 and a certificate.

Submissions for this award, including Appraisal Forms, are due April 1, 2026.

The application guidelines and the application form have been separated into three separate documents for 2025. Only the application form needs to be submitted along with other noted materials required for consideration.

The final page of the application has been added to provide guidance on how to list your works, whether Visual, Literary, Performing, or Cinematic in nature. It does not need to be returned to us as part of your submission package.
